On Wednesday, a Connecticut court ruled that American broadcaster Alex Jones should be fined $965 million.
The reason for the conviction is that Alex Jones claimed that the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was invented in 2012. 20 children and 6 teachers were killed in this slaughter. Alex Jones claims that this riot never happened and that it was only staged by actors.
Victims took action
5 affected families, 3 teachers and 1 FBI agent filed suit. At trial, some of those affected testified that they were harassed and threatened for years by people who listened to Alex Jones’ radio show.
