Moscow, 14 October (EFE) .- The Russian investigative committee today opened a criminal case into the alleged attack by Ukrainian forces the day before in the border region of Belgorod, in which an ammunition depot was hit, the agency run by the Russian Presidency reported today is dependent.
The committee’s chairman, Alexander Bastrikin, “ordered the opening of a criminal case” over the detonation of an ammunition depot, resulting in “dead people and wounded,” in the village of Oktiabrsky, Belgorod district, according to preliminary data the agency said.
The committee claimed that the Russian air defense system also shot down missiles in the Novooskolski district.
Splinters fell in the railway area, damaging power lines and temporarily halting train service.
The governor of Belgorod, Viacheslav Gladov, had denounced on his Telegram account the day before that two apartments in a building had been damaged in the alleged Ukrainian attack. EFE
