Clean-shaven Dom Lever reveals his transformation as he begins his career as a firefighter five years after appearing on Love Island in 2017
He was once known for appearing in the third series of Love Island in 2017 after leaving the series early at the same time as his now-wife Jess Shears.
But Dom Lever has now revealed his major career change to becoming a firefighter after completing his training and stepping into the rank of Newton Abbot.
Dom was a careers advisor when he appeared on the hit ITV2 reality series, but has since turned to social media influencer.

His latest job project was revealed this week on his fire station’s Facebook page.
It explained that Dom took part in training scenarios and incidents to earn his title as a firefighter, with photos showing a wildfire in the Plympton area and a nasty car crash.
The post read: “We at Newton Abbot Fire Station would like to welcome the 6 new firefighters who have recently joined our ranks.
“Following a spate of recent retirements, we have been fortunate to welcome a number of newcomers over the past year.

“These firefighters all have duties ranging from a year to just a few months. However, within that short time, they have already begun to demonstrate the proper attributes and skills required to be called a firefighter.
“They all still have a long way to go in their training before they are considered fully competent but with the current effort and drive shown we are confident they will prove they have what it takes to be part of the team be.
“Congratulations once again on your positions and good luck in your future career with us here at Newton Abbot Fire Station.”
The couple announced their engagement after three months of dating and married in a romantic ceremony on the Greek island of Mykonos in October 2018
They announced they were expecting their first child in May 2019, seven months after tying the knot, and welcomed their baby boy in September of that year
Dom was pictured kneeling with the five other new recruits.
He and Jess Shears met in series 3 of Love Island in 2017 but only met outside of the villa.
Both went separately and early in the series.

In March 2022, Jess, 28, and Dom, 31, announced they were expecting a second child by sharing a video showing Jess’ pregnancy test and a baby scan, and son Presley kissing her tummy, alongside the caption: ‘Our family is growing.’
Jess gave birth to her second son in June 2022 and has been sharing pictures of her young family ever since.
The couple live in Devon, where Jess is from, and are in the process of renovating their dream home.
