WASHINGTON | In the not too distant future, there could be more than one member of the Mantha family in the NHL. As the first woman to referee a game in the QMJHL last year, Élizabeth Mantha could soon break more barriers.

Mantha has officiated American League games, but not yet at the NHL level.
When asked if he wants to play in the NHL long enough to share that dream with his little sister, Anthony smiled.
“Ha! Ha! how many years is that? I don’t know, but that would be really fun. My sister was officiating the CH intra-team game at the Bell Center during camp. My dad came here on Friday and told me about my sister’s game. He told me she was stressed when the supporters started making waves. She wondered what was going on.”
“I would really like to see her in the NHL. But I don’t think we have the right to play in the same game. »
The Capitals No. 39 pauses a little and he goes to this statement and thinks about his sister’s job.
“I think we’d like to avoid a conflict of interest, but knowing my sister, she’d be even stricter with me if she had to officiate one of my games,” he replied. I have to be silent! »
