“On October 15, two citizens of a CIS country carried out an attack at a training ground of the Western Military District in the Belgorod region,” the ministry said, referring to the Commonwealth of States Independents, an alliance of several former Soviet republics.
“While conducting shooting training with people who volunteered to take part in the military special operation (in Ukraine), the terrorists opened fire on the unit’s members with automatic weapons,” the ministry continues.

In his daily speech, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the Russian military continued to bomb Ukrainian cities with drones and rockets. “Fighting continues in different areas of the front. A very difficult situation remains in the Donetsk region and the Luhansk region,” he said. “The most difficult (situation) is towards Bakhmout, as in the days before. We are holding our positions.”
