Elon Musk is offering to buy Twitter and take it private

Tesla CEO Elon Musk offered to buy Twitter for $54.20 per share and take the social media company private.
Musk said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that this was his “best and final offer” and that if it were not accepted, he would have to reconsider his position as a shareholder.

Gold set for weekly profit
Gold was lower on Thursday, but prices are headed for a second consecutive weekly gain. The Ukraine crisis and rising inflationary pressures increased the metal’s appeal. US gold futures were at $1,987. The metal is up about 1.7% on the week so far, according to Reuters. The markets remain closed on Good Friday.
Gas prices continue to slide
The average price of a gallon of gasoline in the US fell to $4,074 on Thursday, according to the latest figures from AAA. Wednesday’s price was $4,083. The previous record high was $4.33 and was set on Friday March 11, 2022.
