What Happens to the Undocumented Immigrants Sent from Texas to Washington DC | Univision Immigration News

The transfer of around 50 foreigners from Texas to Washington DC, so far ordered by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, has worried lawyers and organizations defending the rights of immigrants. They don’t explain to them the reason for the trip, they tell them it’s free, they make them believe it’s voluntary, and when they arrive at their destination, they literally make them “throw” on the road.

The deportation of immigrants who are seeking asylum at the border (previously handed over to federal immigration authorities, an asylum process initiated, processed and released because they do not pose a threat to public safety pending presentation in an immigration court) is part of a strategy by Abbott, a strong opponent of President Joe Biden’s immigration policies.

Abbott blames the government for the crisis at the border with Mexico and asserts that the majority of immigrants admitted through due process are criminals.

He further notes that following the repeal of CDC Title 42 at the border on May 23, there will be some sort of alien invasion and that the state of Texas will “remain steadfast in our efforts to fill the gaps (created by the government were) to shut down and protect the Texans.

According to the governor, the transfer of immigrants to the capital will allow the government “to respond more directly to the needs of the people it allows to cross our border.” But what Abbott doesn’t say is that federal authorities follow due process of immigration with people arriving seeking available remedies.

This situation threatens to create a new crisis because the immigrants released by the Border Patrol, taken under the control of the Texas security agencies, are voluntarily placed on a bus and sent to Washington DC without proper supervision and without detailed explanation the foreigner the reasons for the trip and the responsibilities assumed before the law at the time of permission to enter the country with the obligation to appear before a foreigners judge.
