Denise Richards hits out at Lisa Rinna for being ‘cruel and vindictive’ after RHOBH reunion

Denise Richards slammed Lisa Rinna as “cruel and vengeful” after her former RHOBH co-star was called out for “no impulse control” at the latest reunion.

“I saw #RHOBH last night,” Denise, 51, posted on her Instagram account on Thursday. “While I feel sorry for Lisa Rinna losing her mother. What’s your excuse for being so cruel and so vengeful all those other years on the show?

Denise and Lisa’s friendship came to an abrupt end during season 10 of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills when the soap opera’s veterinarian accused Denise of being a liar and of having an affair with Brandi Glanville.

Denise, who joined the series in 2019, left the show following the allegations in 2020.

Despite her struggles, Denise recently said she would love to return to the series and has no problem “filming” with Lisa.

The former model commented on rumors claiming she wouldn’t be getting on the show unless Lisa disappeared during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis.

‘That is not true. I wouldn’t mind working with Lisa and filming with her. I never said I wouldn’t come back with her,” she revealed.

Denise also explained that Lisa apologized for texting after the rift. “She reached out to me, she texted me apologizing.”

“The rumor went around that I never responded, but I responded, I responded immediately,” she added.

Speaking about the Days Of Our Lives star during the Sirius XM interview, Denise said, “I’ll say that. Lisa Rinna, she plays dirty, she can be really nasty, and I think that’s just something to know about when she’s on the show.

On the topic of whether their friendship would ever get a chance to rekindle, the beauty admitted, “I don’t think I ever would. I could never be close friends with her after what happened.

She went on to explain, “As for Lisa, if you’re going to apologize, what, she apologized to me while we were actually filming, but then she just went back to the same behavior.”

“That’s why I have a hard time believing that the apology is real,” concluded Denise.

Lisa received a backlash for her unfiltered opinions and social media posts during the second episode of the three-part RHOBH Season 12 reunion on Wednesday.

Reunion host Andy Cohen confronted the 59-year-old actress-turned-reality star for having “no impulse control.”

Can’t hold it back: Rinna, 59, got a backlash from host Andy Cohen, 54, on Wednesday’s second RHOBH reunion episode when he called her because she had “no impulse control”.

“Lisa, I’ve spoken to you privately many times about this,” Andy, 54, began. “Your social media is a disaster.”

After he lamented her lack of “impulse control,” she admitted she had “very, very little.”

Andy sounded more concerned than upset with Lisa, as if trying to keep her out of trouble with the network and her co-stars.

“You’re trying so hard. You post something and end up having to delete it,” he continued.

Among the most frustrating elements of her post was House, who she claimed would break away from the RHOBH drama, only to then go back to berate her co-stars or even the crew who make the show.

“A week or two ago you posted, ‘I never post about the Beverly Hills housewives,'” Andy reminded her [posting] text messages.’

But Lisa’s defense for her wild posting style was purely personal and short-term, as she said the risky behavior gives her a “dopamine high.”

But she also made it clear to the host that she doesn’t “love” stirring up so much drama on the long-running reality series.

“It scares me. You post some shit and I’m like, “What is she doing?” Like blaming the production,” Andy shot back, suggesting she shouldn’t bite the hand that’s signing her checks.

Andy’s complaints against Lisa included her speculation that a producer of RHOBH was inciting a group of racist online bots against Garcelle Beauvais’ 14-year-old son, Jax.

“I try to express myself simply, and I do,” she replied, ignoring the substance of the host’s complaint. “I don’t necessarily think I’m doing something bad when I do it for the first time. Not always. And then sometimes I’m like, “F*** it.”‘

She continued, “Listen, I’m impulsive. We all know that. I’m a work in progress when it comes to it and I’ll get better. I will.’

Lisa’s claim that she will improve comes after she has become a controversial figure among fans of the series, who booed her during her appearance at BravoCon last week, according to Page Six.

While Lisa seems to be excited about her dramatic posts and remarks, she also seems to think she and the other housewives need a break from the show.

Her recipe for next season was to give herself and the rest of the cast some time to relax.

“I need one – we need a break. We need time,” she said, adding that everyone on the show needs some “time to let it settle down” to “move forward.”
