Better without blocking

HAVANA, October 22 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez confirmed today via his Twitter account that the United States’ economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba defines the essence of US policy towards the Caribbean island of Cuba

Rodríguez stated on the social network that this package of measures was stepped up to unprecedented levels during Donald Trump’s administration.

“Today, President Biden’s policy against Cuba is regrettably and sluggishly the same Republican policy,” Cuba’s foreign minister said in the text.

In the recent presentation of the national report on the effects of the blockade in the national and foreign press between August 2021 and February 2022, Rodríguez indicated that his country has the right to live in peace.

“Everyone would be better off without lockdown. The United States would be a better country without a blockade against Cuba. The world would be better without the blockade against Cuba,” he concluded.

The Cuban people have been living for more than 60 years under the effects of US policies affecting the quality of life and the development of their human rights (source: PL).
