Matt Goss claims he was visited by his mother Carol’s ghost FIVE times after being voted out of Strictly

“I knew it was her, it was amazing!” Matt Goss claims he was visited by his late mother’s spirit FIVE times in one night after being voted out of Strictly

Matt Goss has revealed he has been visited by his mother’s ghost after being voted out of Strictly Come Dancing earlier this month.

The former Bros star, 54, lost his mother Carol Philips to cancer in 2014 but revealed that after he was eliminated from the BBC show, she performed in front of him “about five times” that night.

He told The Sun: “The night after I left the series I didn’t want to watch the show and I just wanted to be in my own bubble. I got streams of messages from people and that night I just lay in the dark listening to music.

“A bag fell off a shelf. And then I said, “Mom, is that you? If it’s you, can the music stop?” And then the music stopped. Then it came back and did it again.

“It’s happened about five times. I knew it was my mother. It was incredible and this incredibly warm feeling came over me. It was a beautiful thing and I knew it was a sign that everything would be okay.

Matt became the third celebrity to leave the dance floor during last week’s results show after taking on actress Kym Marsh in the dreaded dance-off.

The singer – who worked with Nadiya Bychkova – performed a Jive to All Shook Up to impress the judges and stay in the competition.

Matt and Nadiya scored 20 points on Saturday’s live show, putting them bottom on the leaderboard, while Kym and Graziano bagged 32 points for fifth place.

After both couples danced a second time, the judges announced their verdicts, with Craig, Motsi and Anton all voting to save Kym and Graziano.

When asked by Tess Daly about his time on the show, Matt said: “It’s an extraordinary experience, I’ve been in America for 25 years.

“Thank you Richter for your openness, you helped me in many ways, my posture – Anton, I’m more aware of that.

“This beautiful lady next to me, a world champion with all the patience. I’m very honored to have danced with you guys and to everyone who’s still around, love you guys, go away boys.”
