Twenty rifle shots and three grenades. This is how former MP and former President of the Brazilian Workers’ Party (PTB), Roberto Jefferson, greeted the police responsible for his detention, says our correspondent in São Paulo, Martin Bernard. The two victims received medical attention and are in good health, according to the federal police. The man finally surrendered in the early evening, after eight hours of suspense, in the town of Comendador Levy Gasparian, about a hundred kilometers from Rio de Janeiro.
Roberto Jefferson has been under house arrest since the beginning of the year dissemination of fake news and for his membership in digital militias that work in the ministry by President Bolsonaro.
