Kim Kardashian condemns Kanye West’s ‘hate speech’: Antisemitism is ‘never okay’

Kim Kardashian has criticized hate speech, saying it’s “never okay or excusable” amid her ex-husband Kanye West’s ongoing anti-Semitic rants.

“I stand with the Jewish community and call for an immediate end to the appalling violence and hateful rhetoric directed at them,” she wrote on her Instagram story on Monday.

Her sisters Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and mother Kris Jenner also shared similar statements on their own social media, condemning anti-Semitism.

“I support my Jewish friends and the Jewish people,” they said in posts Monday.

Kim’s support for the Jewish community comes amid mounting backlash her ex-husband is facing after he repeatedly made anti-Semitic comments.

Ye, 45, was booted from Twitter earlier this month after saying he wanted to carry out “Death Fraud 3” against Jews. His hateful tweet came after he was kicked off Instagram for sharing messages suggesting that Jews control the media.

Amid the uproar, Balenciaga severed ties with the Yeezy founder last week, and Page Six exclusively reported that Vogue has no intention of ever working with him again.

The public has also pressured Adidas to end its partnership with West after the rapper boasted to Piers Morgan, “I can literally say anti-Semitic things, and Adidas can’t dump me.”

Adidas has put its partnership with West “under scrutiny” after it unveiled “White Lives Matter” t-shirts at Paris Fashion Week earlier this month, but the company has yet to publicly comment on its tirades.

Despite the backlash, West has continued to escalate his anti-Semitic comments, even inspiring hateful people to hang a sign that reads “Kanye is right about the Jews” at a Los Angeles freeway overpass over the weekend.

West told Morgan on Wednesday that he was “not at all” sorry for the threatening tweet.

“I fought fire with fire. I’m not here to be hosed down. This is a different kind of freedom fighter,” the rapper told the talk show host.

Some of West’s supporters have tried to use his bipolar disorder as an excuse for his hatred, but others, including Endeavour’s CEO Ari Emanuel, say mental illness is no excuse for hatred.

“Those who continue to do business with West are giving an audience to his misguided hatred. West’s anti-Semitism should not be tolerated anywhere,” wrote Emanuel in an op-ed for the Financial Times. “This is a moment in history when the stakes are high and it is important to be open about and living our values. Silence and inaction are not an option.”

Many celebrities have also condemned West for his anti-Semitism, including John Legend, Jamie Lee Curtis and Morgan Spector.

The LA Holocaust Museum invited the rapper to visit so he could learn more about Jewish history and why his words are so damaging, though Ye has yet to publicly respond to the invitation.

Kim, 42, filed for divorce from West in February 2021. She was declared legally single in March 2022. West has been accused of engaging in manipulative behavior towards his ex-wife following their split, although they continue to raise their four children together: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
