The recommended daily calorie intake is 2,000 calories per day for women and 2,500 for men.
To build muscle, you should consume more calories than your body burns in a day – which is typically over 1800 calories.
Previously, Chontel shared how she often puts her children’s diet ahead of her own — something other parents have dealt with.
“As a busy mom, I find diet is the first thing I sacrifice. I can easily forget to eat in the first half of the day and by the afternoon I’m starving like a wild animal. Which then leads to me eating my entire body weight in food,” she wrote on Instagram.
“OR I buy high-sugar processed foods from the coffee drive-through.
“My goal is to get back into a routine, prioritize my needs and keep my body energized, especially when living on minimal sleep.”
