So loosen your corsets: Here are all the things that excite us the most about Bridgeton Season 2!
1. The plot will focus on Anthony, played by Jonathan Bailey, who will now fully accept the responsibility to be the head of the Bridgerton family.

Honestly, Season 1 Anthony is a little pill for his family, especially Daphne. But the poor man’s heart was also broken at the last minute by opera singer Sienna Rosso, so we can’t blame him for wanting to turn over a new leaf by the end of the last installation. Let’s see how everything will turn out in season 2, when he tries to find the perfect husband.
2. Anthony has a new love interest: Kate Sharma.

From what we know about the plot so far, the new love affair of the humble Viscount is Kate Sharma. The Sharma family came to London from Bombay, and Anthony is headed for Edwin. The bad thing is that Edwin’s protective sister Kate will do everything possible to prevent them from getting married, because she finds him a bit of a robber. But, of course, Anthony and Kate catch up with each other soon enough.
4. The downside is that Anthony is also attracted to Kate Edwin’s sister, so there will be a whole love triangle unfolding.

“You can see why he’s attracted to both,” Bailey told Entertainment Weekly. “They’re both drawn to him in turn. It’s an interesting love triangle; it’s dangerous when they’re brothers and sisters. It’s brutal between them in a way that Season 1 wasn’t. They’re all animals with each other.”
5. We are also excited about the whole concept of Kate Sharma, which, according to Netflixis “a smart, stubborn young woman who does not suffer from fools.”

It will be played by Simone Ashley, who is already much loved for her role as Olivia in “Sex Education”.
6. Bridgerton’s cinematic universe is expanding with new characters.

In addition to Sharma, we will see four new characters: Charitra Chandran as Kate Edwina’s sister, Shelley Cohn as Kate Mary’s mother, Kalam Lynch as an assistant printer named Theo and Rupert Young as a new member of the tone named Jack.
7. The late Lord Bridgerton will also appear.

He will be played by Charmed star Rupert Evans, who is likely to appear in retrospect. In the books, Edmund Bridgerton has a close relationship with his son Anthony and died of a bee sting when he was 38, leaving Anthony head of the house.
8. And if you tune into Bridgeton for sexy times, there will be sexual tension between Anthony and Kate. Obviously.

“There’s always been a deep knowledge of what Kate wants,” Ashley told Entertainment Weekly. “That’s what I love about shows like Bridgeton and Sex Education: they can touch on slightly taboo topics, but these characters know what they want.”
10. No royal nuance is foreseen, but we are ready to see a new romance and a new side of Daphne!
11. Regé-Jean has officially left the show and is no longer part of the cast (BRB is crying), but there is little chance of him appearing. Like a very tiny piece.

When prompted for a cameo role in Season 2 or a guest in a British GQ interview with Stuart McGurk in September 2021, Paige is somewhat shy. At first he said to McGurk, “You know I couldn’t tell you!” But then Paige followed, asking, “Isn’t there something wonderful about being surprised by something you don’t suspect?” That’s not no, is it? This is pure speculation, but we know that Daphne will mention Simon in some capacity.
12. We need to get more than tea from Lady Whistledown, whose identity was revealed at the end of season 1.
13. There are corgis!

How not to get excited about corgis? Kate and her sister Edwina can be seen in photos with this cute puppy, which is Kate Newton’s dog. In The Viscount Who Loved Me, Newton actually plays a very important role – Kate gets a feel for people based on how Newton reacts to them. It’s better to have some milk bones on hand for Anthony Bridgerton.
