Russian warship allegedly damaged by drone attack

According to Russian information, a Black Sea Fleet warship was hit in the drone attacks on the Crimean Peninsula, which was annexed by Russia. Minesweeper Ivan Golubez and facilities in a bay were slightly damaged, the Defense Ministry in Moscow said on Saturday. The attacks were carried out under the guidance of British experts in Ukraine.

These units are also responsible for the attacks on the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines in the Baltic Sea in September, the ministry said without providing any evidence. “This morning at 4:20 am, the Kiev regime carried out a terrorist attack on Black Sea Fleet ships,” the ministry said. London has denied the allegations.

According to Russian information, a total of 16 drones were fired in Sevastopol. Most were intercepted. The ministry highlighted that Black Sea Fleet warships are involved in the agreement concluded by Turkey and the United Nations to export grain from Ukrainian ports. Russia has repeatedly threatened to break the agreement in the event of acts of terrorism or sabotage.
