Biden votes early in Delaware midterm elections

MADRID, Oct. 30 (EUROPA PRESS) –

United States President Joe Biden voted ahead of time for the midterm elections taking place next Tuesday, November 8, in his home state of Delaware, accompanied by his granddaughter Natalie on Saturday afternoon.

These elections are crucial for the Democratic Party as they will determine their representation in the legislature. Biden has said in statements to journalists that this is not a referendum for his re-election, but a choice between “two very different visions of the country.”

During his visit to the state of Pennsylvania this Friday, he also emphasized the relevance of the elections. “Eleven more days. Eleven days until the most important midterm election of our lives. And that’s no exaggeration. It will define what this country will be like for the next decade or more. It’s no joke.” he remarked.

Currently, the Democrats have very narrow majorities in both houses, while in the House of Representatives they have a margin of only 10 seats over the Republicans, in the Senate even with the Conservative Party, although they benefit in the quality election of Kamala Harris as Speaker of the Upper House.
