Russia reports precision strikes against Kyiv and Mykolaiv | Europe | DW

“Long-range precision weapons placed on aircraft destroyed the ships of a tank factory in Kyiv and a heavy weapons repair shop in Mykolaiv,” Russian Defense Ministry spokesman General Igor Konashenkov said on Saturday (04/16/2022).

In his daily report, the soldier added that on Friday night, a total of 16 Ukrainian army facilities in different regions of the country were destroyed with high-precision missiles.

He specified that two missile depots were hit in the Mykolaiv region of southern Ukraine.

Konashenkov added that in the Poltava region in the north-east of the country a storage facility for communications and radar equipment and a storage facility for anti-aircraft missiles belonging to the Ukrainian army were destroyed.

Along with the town of Gusarovka, also in north-eastern Ukraine, an area in which units of the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were stationed was attacked.

Russian artillery hit 811 targets, including 43 Ukrainian command posts, eight fuel convoys and 760 troop positions.

According to the military spokesman, Russian air defenses shot down a Ukrainian Air Force Su-25 attack aircraft near the city of Izium in north-eastern Ukraine.
