Musician Comarc Roth, son of actor Tim Roth, who played Abomination in The Incredible Hulk, has died of cancer at the age of 25. The death occurred on October 16 but was not reported until Monday 31st.
He was diagnosed with choriocarcinoma, a form of germ cell cancer, in November 2021. When the cancer was discovered, it was already in stage 3 and considered advanced.

The young man even spoke out about his diagnosis on his social media to encourage people to seek out their doctors and undergo tests.
He also commented on his treatment, which included chemotherapy, medication, transplants, transfusions, and surgery. Despite all this, he lost more than 20 kg during this process and lost part of his hearing.
What is germ cell cancer?
Germ cell cancer is a rare type of cancer. Tumors grow rapidly and form from reproductive cells.
According to the Cancer Research Institute in the UK, most of these tumors occur in the testicles or ovaries because that is where most of the gametes are located. However, it can also occur in other areas of the body such as the abdomen, brain and chest.

The main treatments are surgery and chemotherapy. However, the medical approach depends on the type of germ cell tumor and its location in the body.
These germ cell tumors are rare in children, accounting for only 3.5% of cancer diagnoses. On the other hand, they are more common in adolescents and young adults and account for 13.9% of cancers diagnosed between the ages of 15 and 19.

The symptoms of a germ cell tumor depend on factors such as its size and location in the body.
For example, when it occurs in the ovaries, a woman may experience pelvic discomfort or pain, a painful ovarian mass, a swollen abdomen, appendicitislike abdominal pain, irregular vaginal bleeding, and nausea.
If the site is in the testicles, symptoms may include a tight, tight lump in one testicle, pain or heaviness in the scrotum, abdominal or groin pain, oddly shaped testicles, and back pain.
