Rapper Takeoff’s tragic death has prompted several stars to take to social media to honor the fallen artist.
Takeoff, who was part of the successful Migos group, died early Tuesday morning after shots rang out at a bowling and billiards hall in Houston, Texas. he was 28
Ja Rule expressed his grievances over Takeoff’s violent death Twitterwriting, “this shit needs to STOP…sending love to friends and family”.
Gucci Mane, who recently collaborated with Takeoff on the track “Us vs. Them,” wrote on Instagram, “This broke my heart” upon hearing the news.
Other music stars who offered their tributes and condolences included Chloe Bailey of Chloe x Halle, who tweeted that her “is heart broken,” and Yung Miami, one half of hip-hop duo City Girls, who wrote “Damn start‘ along with three broken heart emojis. Kid Cudi, who worked with Migos on the song “Danger”, tweeted a simple “RIP takeoff”.
Kelly Rowland shared an Instagram Story in which she exclaimed over a news clip of Takeoff’s death, “There are NO WORDS.”
And actress Keke Palmer shared on Instagram: “This is terrible. From the tragedy of death to the tragedy that there is a video of it online. It’s all just tragic and I’m so sorry for his entire family and everything he touched. Really terrible.”
