I’m A Celeb stars will go head-to-head in the bloodiest bushtucker trial ever, inspired by the gruesome Netflix hit Squid Game.

Web can reveal that housemates will be wearing matching green tracksuits, similar to the flashy casual wear worn by Korean contestants taking part in deadly children’s games that shocked global audiences when the series launched last year.

The ITV show’s costume department made the tracksuits specifically for the challenge, but they won’t be an exact replica due to image rights issues, meaning the I’m A Celeb version will be more of a parody.

The series centers on 456 players, all of whom are struggling financially and have been asked to take part in a series of children’s games in order to win a huge cash prize.

However, the contestants soon realize that losing a game will result in their death and each fatal accident causes the prize pot to increase for the eventual winner.

Players are guarded by masked guards in pink overalls, while games are overseen by the frontman, who wears a black mask and uniform.

It is believed that the guards and front men will also be featured in the Bushtucker Trial version.

The new I’m A Celeb series, which begins Sunday, will include a record 24 attempts, with disgraced MP Matt Hancock tapped for the opening challenges given the outage he caused by signing up for the show became.

The classic food and air challenges will be back, as will the Celebrity Cyclone, which takes place at the end of the series with the four finalists.

All contestants in this year’s series have now arrived in Australia and must self-quarantine for seven days before entering the jungle.

Hancock and comedian Seann Walsh will join the other housemates at a later date.

The pair were brought together as they were both branded “love rats” after high-profile affairs.

Walsh was caught kissing his Strictly dance partner Katya Jones behind his girlfriend Rebecca Humphries in October 2018, while Hancock was forced to quit as Health Secretary in June 2021 after he was pictured flouting his own lockdown rules and his married one Assistant Gina Coladangelo kissed.
