Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen signed for their divorce last Friday (28). The decision to split would not have come from the footballer who reportedly didn’t want his children to have separated parents.
The athlete and the model were married for 13 years and had two children together, Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 9. According to People magazine, the decision to divorce came from Gisele and Brady wanted to come to terms with his exwife. “It wasn’t Tom’s idea. It was never Tom’s idea,” said a source close to the former couple.
As much as he reportedly didn’t want his kids to have divorced parents, Brady already has a son from a previous relationship. The player has a 15yearold son, John, from his marriage to Bridget Moynahan.
Gisele and her exhusband agreed on joint custody of the children. The athlete will continue to live in Tampa, United States, where the team he plays for is based. As of now, Gisele will live in Miami, where the excouple already had a home and which is just four hours from Brady’s home.
Recently, Tom Brady opened up about the end of his marriage to Gisele Bundchen and said the focus of his life is his children. “The good news is that it’s a very friendly situation. I’m really focused on two things, taking care of my family and of course my kids. We all have our unique challenges in life. We’re all human and we’re doing the best we can,” he said.
