Drama, drama, drama! Sister Wives star Robyn Brown challenged Christine Brown‘s timeline of her rift with the family patriarch Kody Brown during a family discussion in a preview of Sunday, November 6, 2022’s episode.
“I can’t understand why I’m so angry,” Kody, 53, told Christine, 50, in Us Weekly’s exclusive clip of the TLC show. “You’ve been in this place for a very long time and I’m just learning.” The businessman went on to claim that one of his and Janelle Browns children, Maddie Brown, said Christine thought about leaving Kody long before she broke the news to him. The couple split in November 2021.
“When you hear things through the rumor mill, there’s a whole other conversation you don’t get. They might want to reach out to the source,” Christine quipped, claiming some of her kids asked her, “Why are you staying? Why don’t you just go?”
Christine then told Kody that her children noticed a change in the dynamic between the two of them, which is why they asked their mother about staying in a “loveless marriage.” The couple share six children together: Mykelti, paedon, aspyn, Ysabel, Gwendlyn and For real.
“You saw how apart we were in Flagstaff. You also saw that Kody and I fought for a long time,” Christine continued. “The kids were like, ‘It looked like you and dad weren’t very close in Vegas anymore.'”
Robyn, 44, didn’t take Christine’s timeline of her drama with Kody too kindly, questioning her version of the truth about their relationship. “Vegas? That’s a lie,” she said. “I remember the conversations. I remember what was going on. I remember you guys having fun dates and hearing about it and seeing your boys relationship. So either you faked it in front of me…I don’t know.”
In a confessional, Christine admitted she “didn’t know exactly why it was her [Robyn] saying I was lying,” and that she and Kody “fighted in Vegas” and their kids “said it.” Robyn, on the other hand, didn’t back down from her bold statement about the ex-spouses, saying in a confession of her own that she and Kody were the only ones who said of Christine’s memory, “That’s not true.”

Christine announced she was leaving Kody in a statement posted to Instagram in November 2021. “After more than 25 years, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” she wrote. “We will continue to be a powerful presence in each other’s lives while raising our wonderful children and supporting our wonderful family. At this time we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate this phase within our family. With love, Christine Brown.”
Although the couple was separated for almost a year at the time of publication, fans are right now watching the drama between Kody, Christine and the other wives unfold in Season 17 of the long-running series, including the moment Christine revealed the news to others wives. “I just don’t want to admit or accept the idea that what we had as a family is just gone,” Robyn said Meri Braun.
In a previous episode, which aired in September 2022, Christine admitted she was “not looking forward to” telling her fellow sisters about the split. “In the end, I don’t want to burn any bridges,” she told Kody. “Some relationships turn out well, some don’t.”
