Pakistan’s ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan was shot in the foot during an assassination attempt at a rally.
Gunmen opened fire on Khan’s convoy as he was leading a protest march to Islamabad to demand early elections, with a bullet catching the former prime minister in the foot.
The video shows an unsteady Khan being helped off an open-top bus by his supporters and carefully placed in a vehicle.
The politician was taken to the hospital, local media reported that he was out of danger.
Footage from the scene also appears to show a gunman firing at Khan’s convoy. A second man tries to snatch the gun from the gunman, but he manages to escape.
Eight people, including Senator Faisal Javed Khan, were reportedly injured after gunmen opened fire near Wazirabad, a city in northern Pakistan.
The video shows Senator Faisal Javed Khan sitting in a hospital chair with his white shirt spattered with blood.
