If you tend to drink tap water, do you know exactly where it goes? According to the conclusions of an investigation, this water was drunk by ten people before you.
Some put a cross on only drinking mineral water from the bottle, while others would rather be satisfied with the water from the tap. A habit that has many benefits, including financial ones, but which could deter more than one. And with good reason: according to research published by the Chron, the water you drink has been drunk by no more than 10 people before you.
Concretely, once the water leaves the body through the urine, it can go through two different cycles before it leaves the tap: the urban cycle and the natural cycle. In the first case, it is first processed in a factory before being sent back to your home. After the water from the tap is consumed, it flows into a sewage pipe that leads to the area’s sewage treatment plant, where it is either purified for human use or released back into the environment.
In the second case, the discharged water is likely to flow towards a body of water, which then supplies a drinking water facility where the urban water cycle begins again. And if the water doesn’t take that path, it can flow toward the ocean. It then evaporates, forming clouds in the sky, and during condensation, this water falls back to earth in the form of rain.

An endless cycle process
This precipitation can return to the urban water cycle, run off into rivers and lakes, or end up in groundwater sources. The process then starts again from the beginning.

As a reminder, this is the beginning of the Bronze Age, which started around 3200 BC. began. AD that humans began reusing wastewater for irrigation and aquaculture, a common practice among ancient civilizations living in China, Egypt, and Mesopotamia. Today the world uses more sophisticated methods to turn wastewater into drinking water.
These include “microfiltration, ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis membranes, the use of ozone in conjunction with biological filtration, low, medium and high energy UV disinfection or even advanced high energy UV oxidation”. These treatments can eliminate both acute and chronic toxicity.
