When we met him at the premiere of Guy Nantel’s new show on October 25th at the Théâtre Maisonneuve, Place des Arts, he seemed like a new person. The 55-year-old comedian told us he’s lost about 50 pounds in almost two years. “It’s a bit cliche, but I feel good, proud. I train a lot in the gym. To be honest, I do this more for my head than for my body.

While he will wrap up his En Cachete Tour in Saint-Georges en Beauce on November 19th, he has already started writing for his next one-man show. “What I’m writing right now is anything but funny. It’s a lot of thinking, but eventually it’ll be fun.” In the winter we’ll see him as an actor in Les bombes à Séries Plus.
On a sentimental level, he spins the perfect love with his lover Marie-Claude for another seven years. He also confided in us that his dog Diwan, a five-year-old German shepherd, is at the end of his life. “He’s in foster care. He will die. He was at the dermatologist. He had allergy problems. He’s fine there, but he’s on cortisone. It makes him good, but it will probably kill him too.”
