In Saint-Marie, it is alleged that a man killed his partner before committing suicide by jumping from the bridge over the Charpentier gorge this Friday, March 4. The victim’s father found his daughter in a bloodbath. It testifies.
“My grandchildren called me and said, ‘Grandpa, come on, Mom’s downstairs.'” Alfred Ramasami is totally shocked.
Early this morning, he found his daughter in a bloodbath at his home in St. Marie. His wife would kill him with a few blows to the head before committing suicide by jumping from the bridge over the Charpentier Gorge on all fours.
Alfred Ramasami lives right next to his daughter. He was in his animal park this morning when his grandchildren called him. The eldest daughter had just found her mother unconscious.
“I thought it was bad, so I came to see it,” said Alfred Ramasami. When I arrived, she was covered in blood, she didn’t move at all, nothing. “I didn’t think such a thing could happen, and here’s the big morning drama,” he added.
Between anger and sadness, this grandfather recognizes that his son-in-law has been aggressive, especially “since last year.” “But my daughter didn’t tell me much, she didn’t tell her stories,” he explains.
This 56-year-old mother usually drinks her coffee in the morning before cleaning. “No doubt, when she was washing the dishes, he came and hit her from behind,” said the victim’s father.
The tragedy happened early on Friday morning. A man in his fifties would kill his companion with several blows to the head.
The alleged killer then took his car before stopping on the bridge over the Charpentier Gorge to commit suicide.
The prosecutor’s office reports that a disputed lawsuit has been filed on charges of premeditated murder by a husband. The autopsy of the two bodies will take place on Monday and Tuesday, prosecutor Veronica Denizo said.
