On vacation, the Presidentelect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (EN) will attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP27. The event, which starts on November 6th and runs through the 18th, will be attended by the PT from the 14th of this month. The Presidentelect was invited by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Saeed. Lula will be part of the Pará State Government delegation, which is part of the Consortium of Governors of the North. It will be the new chief executive’s first appointment as presidentelect for the 2023 term, and the third for the former metallurgist. Before Lula, members of the Workers’ Party (EN) go to COP27 including environmentalist and Federal Representative Nilton Tatto and Senator Jean Paul Prattes. Belongs to the PT companies Simon Tebet (MDB), senator and former presidential candidate who supported the former metallurgist alongside the elected federal representative in the second ballot Marina Silva (SPNet). In addition to the COP, Lula is planning other trips, such as a trip to Argentina, the USA, Europe and China. However, the dates have not yet been set. The intention of the Presidentelect is to use international interest in Brazil’s recently concluded elections to “put the country back into the world”.
