Andy and Marvin Guevara tagged a team Thursday in their attempt to evade Dallas police with a baby in a car seat after police identified Andy’s blue Dodge Charger as stolen.

Police followed the blue Dodger for miles until Andy pulled over unexpectedly with the baby in the back seat and jumped into Marvin’s white Jeep, which followed shortly after, according to Fox News.

The two then drove through lawns and fences of West Dallas homes before parking at the Lake West Head Start Center and running inside with the baby.

They were later arrested for six felonies and charged at the Dallas County Jail. According to The Dallas Morning News, the baby was safely recovered by police and handed over to his grandfather.

It is unclear if either man was the baby’s father.

A daycare worker recalled the incident to Fox News and said their facility was locked down – a day after they practiced a lockdown drill.

“When we heard the lockdown over the intercom, we weren’t sure if it was just another drill,” Elizabeth Newman said. “But then we heard police cars driving outside and we knew it was real life.

“So I barricaded the door, we all went to the bathroom.”

A gun was also captured at the scene, Fox said.

It is unclear why the men went to daycare.
