A day before the trial in the case of former federal MP Flordelis and her exhusband Anderson, who was murdered in 2020, both returned to the news following the release of a documentary by Globoplay on the episode.

One of the witnesses in the case referred to some kind of “purification ritual” in his testimony. In his statement, he revealed that he was isolated in a room for seven days, wearing white clothes and only eating rice and vegetables.

During this time he also kept a Bible, prayed, and received visits from people in a group who would both have had sex on other occasions.

“The witness remembers that it had a magical effect on him, since he felt that he was practically relating to a divine being because of the way Flordelis presented himself,” the testimony said.

Still in the report, the man said he took part in a ritual when the family moved into a house in Rio de Janeiro. He also stated that he had no access to rituals of this nature, and on this occasion Anderson stood naked in the center of a circle marked with chalk on the floor, offered as an offering by Flordelis.
