I have the Rodgers and Edwards of doctors and medical treatments that until recently allowed me to just rock. While my current condition is not immediately fatal, there is no cure. I was doing well recently after a very demanding life extension treatment, that was until a week ago when I had a setback and despite the extraordinary efforts of my team I had to be honest, both physically and mentally, I was going to push my limits. However, none of this need or should detract from what this band (with or without me) has achieved and sustained for 44 years. We had a privileged life, we were a little naughty but very nice, a little shirt but very well dressed, a little bit of ourselves fulfilled for having so much to give. But, as I’ve said many times, when you can feel this collective, instinctive spirit of creativity mixed with ambition, armed with a bunch of super cool fans, well what could go wrong?
