Alison Hammond shocked ITV viewers when she appeared in The Masked Singer’s one-of-a-kind special: I’m a Celebrity special on Sunday night.
The This Morning host, 47, became the first celebrity to be unmasked, causing judges Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan to drop their jaws.
The singing contest featured former roommates from I’m A Celebrity, who dressed up as Witchetty Grub, Kangaroo, Cockroach and Koala as they competed to be crowned the winner.

Alison, who appeared on the ITV show in 2010, dressed as Witchetty Grub and confidently played Heather Small’s Moving On Up.
Unfortunately, the studio audience voted for Koala, believing she was the first celebrity to be unmasked.
She completely shocked the jury as she removed her large mask and slapped Davina on the head in frustration, saying: “Reality TV show, duh”.

Alison told host Joel Dommett: “People actually forget I was on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ because I got there in the middle of the show.
“But I’m a million percent not a singer. The hardest part for me was not laughing, and no, I didn’t choose to be a Witchetty Grub, it chose me.
However, the jury had a different opinion: “You can really sing,” said Jonathan and Rita as they all stood stunned by their impressive performance.
Shortly after the show, Alison took to her Instagram account and shared a photo of herself in the flashy jungle costume.

She penned: “It’s over!!! It was me Witchetty Grub at @maskedsingeruk Jungle Special. Nobody guesses me, did you???’
The singing competition has been revamped in the jungle to celebrate the return of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here to its original Australian camp for the first time in two years following the global coronavirus pandemic.
There were several connections to the Down Under series throughout the show, including host Joel, who himself took second place in 2016.

Vernon and Alison took on Cockroach, who was also revealed in 2020 to be Russell Watson from The Castle series.
Kangaroo was revealed to be X Factor icon Sinitta, who appeared on the Australian show in 2011 when she took to the stage singing Zara Larsson’s Lush Life.
