Eccentric buyer Danny Wallis says he doesn’t even watch The Block – despite buying several houses.
The Melbourne-based IT entrepreneur bought three homes this year, spending a total of $14 million at auction.
“You are my savior because it is easier to buy houses. But I don’t really watch the show,” he told The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday.

However, he will continue to buy houses from The Block.
“I’ll look at them every year and if they’re good they’re well built and stuff [I will],’ he said.
“They’re certainly better built than a lot of the houses you buy because they’re scrutinized so closely. too many of them cannot afford to build dud houses.”

“They are of very good quality and if you have any problems with them, Channel 9 is always there to fix them,” he added.
“I have a problem with my water and they are there immediately.”
Omar Slaimankhel & Ozman ‘Oz’ Abu Malik broke records on The Block: Tree Change for 2022 on Sunday night when Wallis bought their home.

The Sydney best friends sold their home for $5,666,666 with a reserve price of $4.08 million – and took home a record-breaking profit of $1.6 million.
Wallis bought three homes last year for a total of $12.25 million, and he’ll no doubt be back in 2023 with even more outrageous offers.
But it seems Danny has exhausted his welcome, as many fans criticized his “annoying” bidding style during Sunday’s final after he stalled the auction while seeking “advice” from his dog.
During Sunday’s finale, he held up the auction while asking his dog for “advice.”
“Do the people at #theblock know that the whole ‘Danny’ thing on this show takes away all credibility?!” one person wrote on Twitter.
“How can anyone honestly respect Danny,” asked another, while another chimed in, “Danny suuuuuucks.”
“OH HERE WE GO… DANNY PLS STOP it’s been stretched out,” wrote another person who was watching.
