Staff from the National Institute of Statistics (INE) will oversee the survey through December 7 through on-site visits, detailed agencies of that institution and the Ministry of Economy.
The owner of this portfolio, Janio Rosales, explained that Enei will monitor the different variables that explain the evolution and characterization of the labor market based on indicators such as the socio-economic and family context, social security, education and the generation of the collective household income .
This information will help us make better policy decisions, the official assured.
For his part, Allan García, technical deputy director of the INE, explained that the application of the survey will allow to know more precisely the percentage of the inactive population, unemployment and underemployment, as well as the participation of women, children, young people and people from the seniors of the economy .
It also aims to analyze the working conditions, informality, income, sources and amounts, social and work benefits and demographic aspects of workers, as well as their level of education and degree, years of schooling, studies or degrees obtained, García pointed out. .
It is expected that 27 working groups from 596 primary sampling units will visit 5,960 households in the country’s 22 departments.
This edition of the Enei will be done in digital format through a face-to-face interview with digital support, as opposed to previous years when this was done with a paper questionnaire.
Final results are expected to be released in January 2023.
