It was Autumn MacDougall who scored the deciding goal for the home favorites in the third period. Goalkeeper Tera Hofmann did the rest of the work and secured the win with 31 saves.

However, Hofman was scammed twice. Deziray De Sousa aimed between the legs in the two-on-one advance, then Kristina Shanahan expertly blocked a Catherine Dubois pass with a backhand. The latter also provided two assists in that encounter.

Marie-Soleil Deschênes didn’t look as good, giving up three times in 18 shots. In addition to MacDougall, Whitney Dove and Allison Attea also managed to flash the red light at his expense.

The Force was perfect in five shorthanded streaks in this encounter. Sarah Lefort primarily got her team into trouble by receiving a large penalty – and game misconduct – for a check from behind.

The squad will be back in Quebec after winning the very first game in their history against the same Beauts on Saturday. She will play her next game on November 26 against the Metropolitan Riveters at the Auditorium de Verdun and the next day at the Aréna Raymond-Bourque.
