Havana Cuba. – Amid growing concerns about extreme weather events, the United Nations Climate Change Conference, known as COP27, will be held in Egypt until the 18th.

The climate summit, which many say will be the largest in history, should achieve collective multilateral action and pave the way for the implementation of climate commitments.

For more than ten days, participants from more than 120 nations will discuss and negotiate, among other things, climate finance in countries with fewer resources, climate protection plans, greenhouse gas emissions, resilience to the effects of the global phenomenon.

COP27 is without a doubt a new opportunity to stop the climate change that is threatening our planet.

meet climate targets

At the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP27, taking place in Egypt, Cuba will share the experiences of the state plan to tackle climate change after five years of implementation.

Led by Science, Technology and Environment Minister Elba Rosa Pérez, the Cuban delegation attending the summit will support developing countries’ efforts to secure financial mechanisms to reverse the damage caused by climate change.

Better focus is also being advocated in the discussions on setting a new financial target.

It is therefore imperative that the analysis, commitments and consensus provided during COP27 deliver on climate targets and expectations; the world must renew its solidarity to fulfill the Paris Agreement.
