“There was a lot of talk about the duo on set. Let’s just say they don’t have to stretch when filming the romantic scenes together.”

“I can’t wait to get out there and see what’s possible. I would like to do a drama – something with a beginning, a middle and an end to the story.

The news comes after it was revealed that Patsy Kensit has landed the role of Lola’s mother for a short stint.

The 54-year-old actress has soap opera experience, having previously starred in both Emmerdale and Holby City. However, she has previously expressed interest in joining the cast of the BBC show.

The Sun reports that Patsy will begin filming later this month, with her scenes set to air around the Christmas period.

Her character Emma has never appeared on the soap before, having left Lola and her father when their daughter was just three years old.

Back in 2019, former model Patsy opened up about her interest in going to Walford and becoming the new Peggy Mitchell.

She told the Radio Times: “I’d love to do EastEnders, my dad was involved in organized crime in the East End so I grew up with bad guys and that kind of setting. I can have a beer and say, “You’re banned.”
