Day two of Coachella 2022 Weekend One is officially in the books. Saturday (April 16) in the desert marked some premieres and history-making sets for many of the artists, setting a new precedent for the festival.

For one, Argentinian trap sensation Nicki Nicole made her first-ever appearance in the United States, making her US debut on the Sonoran stage. The emotional 21-year-old artist said, “I never thought so many people would come to see my first show in the US.” Meanwhile, the set of 88Rising on the Coachella main stage made history as the first time in Record label landed spot in Coachella lineup. Also, Brazilian star Pabllo Vittar was the very first drag queen to appear at Coachella.

Saturday’s headliner Billie Eilish also became the youngest act to ever headline the festival. Their loyal fans withstood the gusty winds that seemed to be getting stronger by the minute. The 20-year-old chart-topper closed day two with hits like “Bad Guy,” “All the Good Girls Go to Hell,” and “Happier Than Ever.” Eilish also had special guests, Khalid, Gorillaz’s Damon Albarn and De La Soul’s Posdnuos, join her on stage.

3:32 p.m. – Mexican singer-songwriter Ed Maverick took to the indoor Sonora stage and introduced himself to a significant crowd. “Hello, my name is Edward.
