Venezuelan airline Conviasa, one of the airlines that offers direct flights to Nicaragua from Cuba, warned of the false sale of airline tickets in its name through a message on its social networks this week. Conviasa has warned users not to be scammed.
“Don’t be deceived! The agencies authorized by Conviasa will be published in the highlights of Instagram in the @laconviasa account”, they published in their official account in Twitter.
They added that “unscrupulous people continue to offer fake airline tickets and scam travelers.” The company refers to a message posted in the group of Facebook of “Flights to Nicaragua” by a certain Lyon Valdés. Here some alleged flights for April 20th are advertised directly for $4,300 per person.
Conviasa reiterates that all of these ads are false. Some users accused the company itself of saying that the promoters of these ads are “the same employees as their managers.” But the truth is that the desperation of many Cubans to connect to Nicaragua has led them to many scams after depositing large amounts of money.
“Avoid falling for a scam or buying your plane tickets at inflated prices. In the following post, we feature an agency dedicated to scamming travelers. We remind you that the authorized agencies will be published in the highlights of Instagram “, states again Conviasa.
Almost all agencies that the Venezuelan company shows in its reports are fake agencies and allegedly scam Cuban passengers. are based in the United States.
