The Alberta skater was fighting for the puck with defenseman Philippe Myers when he fell to the icy surface early in the second half. Crowd favorite forward Pat Maroon accidentally hit Kane’s exposed wrist with his skate in passing.
The athlete from the Alberta team immediately stood up on his own and was clearly shocked when a bloodstain appeared on the ice.
After suffering a wrist injury early in the second period, Evander Kane is stable and was taken to hospital for a procedure later in the evening.

“Evander Kane is in stable condition after sustaining an injury early in the second period and was rushed to the hospital for surgery later that evening,” the Oilers tweeted.
The Alberta team eventually overcame the loss of one of their key forwards and won 3-2.
Goaltender Jack Campbell, out of action since the start of the season, showed why he earned a five-year, $25 million contract by blocking 35 of the 37 pucks aimed at him. Brandon Hagel and Alex Killorn are the only ones who outsmart him.
For their part, the visitors scored all their nets on special teams. Warren Foegele hit the target shorthanded while Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl hit it with man advantage.
