A total of 130 Cuban migrants were detained by border police in the state of Texas, both operations to detain undocumented migrants took place over the past two days, Thursday 14th and Friday 15th at night and early morning, the reported Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Just after midnight on Thursday, 114 migrants were arrested, including 56 from Cuba and from countries including Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Russia and Kazakhstan.

While on Friday at 1:17 a.m. 121 migrants were arrested shortly after illegally entering the United States, including 74 Cubans, 24 Venezuelans and the rest Peruvians and Colombians. This last group also included an unaccompanied minor whose nationality is unknown.

According to the agency, all migrants are transported to the Eagle Pass Centralized Processing Center and processed in accordance with Customs and Border Protection policies.

Just last March, more than 32,000 Cubans were arrested while crossing the Mexico-US border, the Washington Post revealed.
