One person died and nine were injured in a shootout early Saturday (12th) at the Comércio Esporte Clube in the center of Floriano (244 km from Teresina), where Forró singers Xand Avião and Nattanzinho were performing.
Videos circulating on the social network show the desperation, the public rush to the club where Nattanzinho was supposed to be presented. Filming took place after Xand Avião had finished the show when singer Nattan took the stage. In one video, singer Nattanzinho and part of the band are seen lying on the dressing room floor and there were two shots.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Inaldo Barros, commander of the Military Police of Floriano, the garrison was called around 2 a.m. and when they arrived at the scene, they found the fatal victim.
“We got there, cordoned off the area and tried to calm people down, there was a stampede and panic. The shootings took place at the front near the bars in the club. We found a pistol and lots of R$100 bills on the deceased boy,” the commander said.
The commander added that it is not yet known who started the shooting and who shot the man. Witnesses reported that the shooting started in the bar section of the event. The civil police are investigating the case.
At the fatal victim, the Prime Minister also reported that a gun was found. The injured were rescued and taken to the Tibério Nunes Regional Hospital.
According to military police, the boy who died has been identified as Wellington Lira, aged 30.
“The boy who died is suspected of murder and was also arrested for drug trafficking,” Lt. Col. Inaldo Barros said.
The civilian police reported that there was evidence of settlements by rival groups.
There were about 3,000 people at the show.
Delegate Anna Lívia is leading the inquest investigating the death of Wellington Lira and the attempted murder of the nine people.
According to Cidadeverde.com, the victims sustained neck, liver, arm and leg injuries during the shooting and are not in mortal danger.

Of the nine victims, one has already been discharged, seven others remain in hospital and one person is awaiting an orthopedic examination. Taking to social media, singer Nattanzinho reported that the shooting happened before he entered the stage and that he managed to get out of the place safely.
“Thank God everything is fine, I’m already at the hotel, get out there, it was a guy who pulled a gun, I don’t know what happened. I heard a lot of gunshots, crazy, Xand would play and I’d be next. My heart is heavy, I don’t know what could have happened,” said the singer.
