Surely you know people who have been infected with Covid19 more than once. A new study reports that the risk of death related to other diseases is greater in these reinfection cases.

The research, conducted by the University of Washington in the United States, also found that the higher the number of infections, the greater the likelihood of requiring hospital treatment.
The study analyzed data from thousands of patients and concluded that people who had Covid19 reinfection were more likely to have heart, brain, muscle, blood and even digestive system problems. The risk increases threefold compared to those of this patient only once.
In terms of early death, the risk is twice as high. They were three times more likely to be hospitalized. The study found that susceptibility to health problems increases with each Covid19 infection.
“If you’ve had two Covid19 infections, it’s best to avoid a third. And if you’ve had three infections, it’s best to avoid the fourth,” explains Professor Ziyad AlAli, one of the authors of the study.
