Milly Carlucci is always smiling and pretending to defuse controversy, but she does whatever it takes to stoke it
It was inevitable that sooner or later Enrico Montesano would do something. Let’s face it: after his pointless remarks from no vax (and perhaps after the centre-right victory) he was called upon to speak about the greater glory of Dancing with the Stars. But despite countless efforts, Milly Carlucci almost always loses the challenge with Tu si que vales by Maria De Filippi. More than De Filippi’s merits, perhaps it would be better to talk about Carlucci’s faults (the conductors, not the people).
The first advocate of determination, hard and opaque, resource planning, entrepreneurship; earned a reputation for being the Bloody Mary. The second no, she wants to appear as a good lady who, instead of organizing burraco matches, deals with the television scene. Always smiling but more stubborn than De Filippi, she even called Montesano for a few more points (conspiracy theorist, anti-New World Order resistance advocate, no vax, anti-5G, anti-rai canon).
The most interesting thing about Dancing with the Stars is dancing, like its choreographies, with the courage of those who throw themselves onto the dance floor, even if they don’t have any special skills. Carlucci, on the other hand, focused all attention on the jury, selecting individuals who have made provocation their professional mission. Forced to give up their talent, they specialized in screaming. Carlucci seems to be an orphan of feelings and passions, a flame without fire, a glow that does not shine.
He smiles and, in the meantime, feeds dancers into the jury’s palette. He smiles, pretends to defuse the controversy but does everything he can to stoke it. He smiles but arranges his words with perverse slyness. He smiles, wants to reconcile gossip and dance education. In an eclecticism of smiles and desperation, Dancing with the Stars also consciously gave us the X-Mas t-shirt.
