(ANSA) — WASHINGTON, Nov. 14 — CIA chief William Burns today met his Russian counterpart in Ankara to warn Moscow about the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine, a White House spokesman said.
The National Security Council reported that the meeting in Turkey was in no way aimed at negotiating or discussing a solution to the conflict in Ukraine. Kyiv was informed in advance about the meeting. Burns also planned to address the case of Americans detained in Russia, including basketball star Brittney Griner.
