According to witnesses, Israeli planes attacked the southern Gaza Strip. Hamas’ armed wing said it opened fire on Israeli planes.

“Congratulations to the resistance fighters who faced the warplanes with our air defenses,” Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said in a statement.

Witnesses and security sources in the Gaza Strip reported no casualties in the attacks.

The Israeli military spoke of retaliation
