Russian bombing of Kharkiv with 9 dead and 25 wounded

Kyiv, 18 April (EFE). Nine people were killed and 25 wounded in Monday’s bombings by Russian troops in the Kharkiv province of eastern Ukraine, local news agency InterfaxUkraine reported.

The number of casualties was announced by the press office of the regional military administration of the city, which is located in one of the Ukrainian regions hardest hit by the offensive that began on February 24.

“In Kharviv, as a result of shelling of residential areas, including the central part of the city, by squatters, 24 people were injured and six died,” the source said.

In addition, in the same region, but in the city of Derhachiv, two people were killed and one injured in the bombings.

According to the military administration, one person also died in the attacks of the Russian army in the city of Zolochiv.

In the last few hours, Moscow troops have focused their attacks on eastern Ukraine, particularly Kharkiv, the country’s second largest city.

The offensive allows Russian forces to regroup in an attempt to launch a major operation in the proRussian regions of Donbass.

Even today, attacks on Lemberg in western Ukraine claimed eleven lives, including a child.

According to Mayor Andriv Sadovy, Russian rockets were fired at civilian targets in the city, which is near the Polish border.
