Ukraine has received fighter jets and spare parts to bolster its aviation, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said Tuesday, without specifying how many, what type of aircraft and where they came from.
“Today they have more fighter jets at their disposal than two weeks ago,” the spokesman told reporters. “Without going into detail about what other countries have been broadcasting, I would say that [os ucranianos] additional aircraft and spare parts to increase their fleet,” he added.
Kirby did not elaborate on the type of aircraft that will be supplied to the Ukrainian army, which has been asking for fighter jets for weeks, but did indicate that they are Russianmade.
