How to read Prince Harry’s explosive memoir ‘Spare’ for free

You don’t need spare change to shop for Prince Harry’s explosive upcoming memoir, Spare, which is heavily discounted this holiday season.

The story of the 38-year-old estranged king, set to hit bookshelves on January 10, is available free on Black Friday with a free trial from Amazon’s audiobook service Audible.

Meanwhile, the hardcover version of the book has been reduced to $23.12 for presale, instead of the normal price of $36. The large print paperback version is a little less than $38 at $34.20.

Harry’s much-anticipated report is 416 pages long and translated into 16 languages. The ginger king is rumored to be investigating the bad blood with brother Prince William, and he will also reportedly open up about his and Meghan Markle’s controversial decision to leave the royal family in 2020.

Even the title “Spare” sparked rumors and speculation, referring to Harry’s lifelong role as William’s “Spare” heir.

According to royal author Richard Fitzwilliams, the title is “sensational” and “implyes that [Harry] wasn’t appreciated or… that he didn’t feel like he was in the center of the action.”

Fitzwilliams previously told the Chron that Harry’s relatives were “very nervous” about the book.

“The consequences of this will be far-reaching and can be very destructive,” Fitzwilliams told the outlet.

“There will no doubt be interviews, sequels, and endless speculation about this memoir,” he continued, adding that he felt the father-of-two “should have waited many years” to share his story.

The royal expert said the memoirs had “greatly worried Buckingham Palace, especially as these are the first months of King Charles’ reign”.
