Allison Langdon is set to take a “hefty pay cut” as presenter of A Current Affair amid speculation she’s quitting Today for the part-time gig
Today’s Allison Langdon is set to take a “hefty pay cut” after signing up with A Current Affair, reports have said.
Langdon, 43, is said to be currently on a “premium deal” worth $1 million a year where he will host the Today show for 17.5 hours a week alongside Karl Stefanovic.
In contrast, Langdon’s rumored new gig hosting ACA, which equates to a much lower on-air commitment of 2.5 hours a week, will only make $250,000 a year, reports The Daily Telegraph.

If Langdon decides to quit Today to make more room for her ACA role, she will face a six-figure pay cut.
Meanwhile, outgoing ACA presenter Tracy Grimshaw reported that she received an annual package worth about $750,000, although The Daily Telegraph claims Allison struck a “better deal” with network bosses than her predecessor.
Sources at Nine have also apparently told The Daily Telegraph that Langdon was reluctant to accept the role at ACA when TV execs told her how much she would make.

Langdon is all but confirmed to replace Grimshaw as the host of ACA and Nine is expected to make an announcement next week.
Kyle Sandilands appeared to confirm the reports in an interview with the longtime host on Wednesday.
Speaking to Grimshaw on his KIIS FM radio show, the shock jock said he knew it was the Today Show host.

Sandilands claimed he had a private conversation with Stefanovic, who asked him for advice on a possible replacement for her.
“I feel like I know because I spoke to Stefanovic,” he told Grimshaw after grilling her on the subject of her replacement.
“Well, let me just tell everyone it’s Ally. I have no intention of bursting the Channel Nine bubble.”
Sandilands said Stefanovic didn’t tell him their chat was “confidential”.
“Maybe that was a personal conversation? I don’t know… But he didn’t ask me not to say anything,” he continued.
Grimshaw remained coy as she pressed the rumors about who her replacement will be, saying every candidate for the job is “an exemplary person”.
