A Cuban involved in the robbery of 500 Iphone phones worth half a million dollars he was arrested at Miami airport on April 18 and appeared in court on Tuesday.

According to the arrest report cited by America Tevé, Vega worked for the national airport services company that owned the cargo and gave his accomplice William Rodríguez information on where hundreds of phones were kept, in addition to modifications and everything he needed to know to carry out the robbery .

Defendant William Rodríguez was arrested on December 15 and another member of the gang, identified as Osmey Pérez, had been arrested a day earlier.

Judge Mindy S. Glazer set the defendant’s bail at $22,500.
